Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer

Modern technologies are big for CloudKnowHow, and more importantly for our customers. We partner with some of the world’s largest software vendors and in order to support our growth, we are looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to focus on our internal systems.

It goes without saying that you will have a background in Microsoft technologies and have a knowledge of network infrastructure. It would be even better if you also have Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) / Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification.

This is a juicy and diverse role for the sort of person that is driven to achieve amazing things and wants to grow their knowledge in cloud and infrastructure technology. The paths of progression in this role are huge.

Cloud and Infrastructure M365 Solutions Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that helps businesses make the most of the latest technologies and move to the cloud (think Azure, M365 and AWS etc.). We cover all aspects from designing cloud-based infrastructures solutions though to building technical architecture in the cloud. We’re also creating new cutting-edge packaged services. Your role will range from migrating customer infrastructure environments into the cloud, to being a technical resource from which to assist and advise customers on adopting the best cloud solution for them. You will be in charge of your own workload and will be responsible for planning, documenting, implementing and delivering projects for our customers.

You’ll work closely as part of an established team that will guide you in the ways of the cloud as well as benefit from a training programme that will ensure you’re successful.

Software Engineer

Now is a great time to join our Cloud Know How team the Role is to provide consultancy and engineering solutions to customers and internal teams – either by bespoke Application integration or configuring a commercial off the shelf (COTS) product. You will work with dedicated Project Managers to deliver exciting and technically advanced solutions to our varied customers. Whilst we are keen for you to deliver, we will encourage you and give you the opportunity to keep skills and knowledge up to date.

Responsibilities
You will be working closely with the Technical Solutions and Project Manager throughout the whole of the Software lifecycle from Requirements through to Test and Release. Your day to day activities will vary depending on the Customer need, where you will be:

• Creating, updating or maintaining Data Integration solutions within a variety of technologies.
• Configuring commercial off the shelf (COTS) products for System’s Integration.
• Creating, updating or maintaining Software solutions

You will be flexible on delivery approach whilst being comfortable working as part of a team or going solo. Good communication is important, you will convey ideas in both verbal and written form in a clear, concise, and easy to understand manner. Guidance and direction will be given by the Project Manager where in return, you will keep them up to date with progress and issues. Occasionally you will be asked to use your skills to benefit the business for internal projects.

About you
Ideally, you’ll be a Software Engineer who is equally at home creating new applications as well as maintaining the existing solutions. More importantly, you’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and clearly communicate technical concepts in a range of styles.

Cloud and Infrastructure Support Technician Apprentice

Cloud Know How is looking to offer the right person an exciting opportunity to join their team as a cloud and infrastructure support technician apprentice.

 

Cloud Know How help our customers migrate their current services over to be hosted in the cloud. You will be part of a multi-functional team with your role primarily supporting internal teams and external clients across multi-faceted environments (think Microsoft Azure, M365, AWS etc.), so you’ll need passion and a keen interest to learn tech. You’ll work closely as part of an established team that will guide you in the ways of the cloud as well as benefitting from a training programme that will ensure you’re successful. You will be performing this day-to-day role while completing the Level 3 Microsoft Azure (Infrastructure Technician) apprenticeship programme.

About you
You will have a passion for a career in IT and committed to completing the apprenticeship. You will have at least five GCSE level 4/grade C (or equivalent) and above including Maths and English. You will be proficient with both written and verbal communication. This role covers internal and external support; being able to pick up the phone in a confident, polite manner is vital and is a trait more desirable than existing IT knowledge. You will demonstrate a keen interest in developing your cloud technology knowledge and will be willing to put your hand up to new opportunities as they arise.

The Level 3 Microsoft Azure (Infrastructure Technician) apprenticeship programme covers the following modules:

  • Networking and Architecture
  • Mobile and Operating Systems
  • Cloud Services
  • Coding and Logic
  • Business Processes

You will also gain Microsoft Accredited Certifications including the ITIL Foundation Level.
